Career & Personal Counseling

The Counseling Center is located in Room 112. The center exists for the purpose of helping students in the areas of personal growth, career counseling, and educational planning.

Assistance will be given to students with their personal concerns and questions. Support is given to students in a comfortable and confidential setting. All students are entitled to these services free of charge.

The Counseling Center provides career counseling whether the person is currently enrolled as a student or someone needing assistance with his/her career transition. Figuring out which career path to follow can be very difficult. The center will assist people to gain information about their aptitudes, interests, and personality and help them develop a personal action plan for making a viable career choice.

Assistance is also available to students with their educational planning whether it is at Alexandria Technical College or another college or university. Computerized career information is available in the center as well as resources about various careers such as job outlook, salaries, descriptions, and related occupations.
