Program Focus Finance and Credit Mnagement is a program developed by bankers
and agricultural, retail, commercial and consumer credit experts.
It is designed for students who have the aptitude and interest in
financial and business management. During the first nine months,
Finance and Credit Management students complete core courses.
The second phase is intended for the mid-management training.
During the final phase of the program, the Finance and Credit
Management instructor/coordinator supervises the students on a
full-time internship for two months. Students work for a financial
institution or business of their choice as approved by the college. The
training sponsor evaluates the student’s
performance on the job. Students are paid
during their internship and receive credit
for successful completion. Internships
often result in permanent employment. |
Qualifications Since many careers involve contact with customers, graduates need
good human relations skills. Previous courses in bookkeeping,
accounting, and business math during or since high school are
desirable but not required. Graduates are involved in handling
money and must meet bonding company standards. |
