Program Overview

This program is 64 credits in length and includes 30 technical Law Enforcement credits and 34 general education credits, which must be selected from at least 6 of the 10 MnTC goal areas.

Qualifications

The Associate in Science (AS) degree is intended for students who have completed a number of general education credits from another college and want to transfer them to ATC to complete their AS degree in Law Enforcement. The AS degree also serves those students positioning themselves for transfer to a four year law enforcement program. This AS degree in Law Enforcement (plus summer skills training) allows the student to take the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) licensing test.
