Recently the college’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization held its officer elections. BPA members at Alexandria Technical College represent the computer, business, and office technology programs. BPA offers students opportunities of advancement in leadership, citizenship, and academic/technological skills. In addition, the members participate in community projects and state and national competitions.

BPA members and their advisors, Dave Hart and Mavis Pattee, will attend a Professional Development Conference at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center in Alexandria on November 3 and 4. During the conference, newly elected officers will participate in officer training and attend self-enrichment workshops that focus on professionalism, diversity, job seeking, time management, conflict resolution, motivation, and business ethics.
