Liberal Arts & Sciences
Associate in Arts Degree
For transfer to baccalaureate degree-granting institutions
The Associate in Arts degree allows students to complete the first two years of a four year degree and other professional goals. The liberal arts focus of the curriculum requires students to complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum by completing general education courses across all ten goal areas. Additional courses in at least one technical studies area, physical education, and information literacy are required for graduation.
The AA degree is awarded in the liberal arts and sciences. The degree prepares students for continued studies in the arts, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences and social sciences. The degree is a good choice for those pursing professional careers in education, human services, business, written or media communications, sociology, or general engineering.
